Welcome to our series dedicated to highlighting our members, exploring their stories, projects and the personalized packages they find at Halte. This week, our interview turns to Akiri Consultants, who are celebrating 5 years in business this month!

1. Could you briefly introduce Akiri Consultants and tell us about your field of activity or services?

We're a consulting firm specializing in digital transformation, based in Montreal. Since 2019, we've been accompanying customers in the manufacturing, distribution, retail and NPO sectors in their technological shift, and providing them with services to adapt technologies to their needs :

- Software selection
- Technology strategy
- Customer experience

2. Why did you choose a coworking space rather than another type of office?

Working mainly from home, we opted for one day a week face-to-face at work to improve collaboration and teamwork. When we were looking for a place to work where the whole team could meet up on Thursdays, Halte seemed like the perfect place, with its combination of hotspot / fixed desks and telephone booths, as well as the possibility of renting conference rooms. We love the flexibility this gives us, as well as the opportunity to exchange ideas with people who work in other fields.

3. Tell us a little about Akiri Consultants' corporate culture.

Teamwork is at the heart of our values. We work in pairs to deliver all our mandates, so that a senior resource mentors a more junior resource so that the latter can
develop better skills. We also try to take part in Halte's events, which are great team-building and networking opportunities - both important for our growth.

4. Can you share with us a few details about the projects your team is currently working on?

Currently, we're working with a number of customers who benefit from government subsidies. Over the past few months, we've completed projects with more than 10 insurance brokerage firms in Quebec as part of the ITN (Initiative de Transformation numérique) run by RCCAQ Innovation.
At the same time, as certified advisors, we support customers from a wide range of sectors who take advantage of the Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) at the federal level, or the ESSOR volet 1b program at the provincial level.

The aim of all our mandates is to help business leaders understand the technological choices, and to ensure that they are comfortable with the choices they have made. We are the translators between business and technology.

5. What are Akiri Consultants' aspirations and plans for the coming years?

We want to grow in size so that we can serve more customers, while remaining a close-knit team that's close to its customers and delivers mandates of exceptional quality.

Initially, one team member opted for a dedicated workspace at Halte 24/7 in 2022, enabling her to work remotely while remaining close to her neighborhood. In 2023, the entire team took the decision to officially settle at Halte 24/7. Today, they have two fixed offices and an open-access workspace. Thanks to their subscription, they also benefit from a bank of conference room hours for internal meetings or meetings with customers.
